PAGE 4 Tying up with success! R TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) is a Glob- al program aimed at fostering entre- preneurship skills in students. After our team comprising Advait Kandiyoor, Madhav N Govind and Rishon Adattel won 2nd prize at the TiE Young Entre- preneurs Competition held in June, an all-girls team stole the show in January. With their win at the prestigious TiE Young Entrepreneurs competition, Bh- agya Shankar, Fathima Mehthab and Niveditha Rajeev have been selected to participate in the global level compe- tition which will be held in USA later in the year. Technology bytes! Karan Verghese Isaac of Grade 8 surpassed over 1.4 lakh students from across India to win the 2nd Runners Up title in the 12-14 age group at the Bebras India Com- puting Challenge organised by CSPathshala in November. Rohan Abraham Kokkatt of Grade 8 was declared the first runner up in the Kerala Region in the same category. Therese Saji and Nandita Warrier came first in the school in the age group 10-12 years and 8-10 years respectively. At the National Cybersecurity contest - Capture The Flag (CTF) competition con- ducted by Amrita University in December, Rayhan Faizel secured the 5th place, while Arpan George Mathew won the 8th place. Cyber Safety Week was cele- brated in July to create aware- ness regarding online safety as well as online etiquette and how to be responsible digital citi- zens. While a fun and informa- tive Treasure Hunt was conduct- ed for students of Grade 6 to 10, a Flash Mob by the ICT students highlighting the dangers of online anonymity threw light on the hazards of blind social media usage. Students of Grade 8 and 9 (CBSE and GPS-I) visited Tata Consultancy Services in August as participants of ‘One Day @ IT world’ - a programme focussing on enabling young talent to unveil the scope of the IT industry.
