PAGE 21 SPORTS DAY The theme ‘Mere Desh Ki Dharthi’ was evident as the students of Grades 1 to 5 paid tribute to the unsung heroes - the FARMERS, at the Junior School Sports Day in November. Mr. Sunil Varghese, Farmer, Daily Greens was the guest of honour. Promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle throughout the year, the senior school celebrated their Sports Day in November with Ms. Arunima Gupta, Contemporary dancer and Co-founder of The Floor Dance and Fitness Studio as the chief guest. A Kalaripayatu (Indian martial art) display, a surreal ribbon dance as well as a performance of Taekwondo mesmerized everyone! Stealing the show at the National Seniors Meet Liyana Fathima Umer Nizar earned Kerala a medal after a hiatus of 12 years at the 72nd Glenmark Seniors National Swimming Championship. The 14 year old champion outshone senior women to win the Bronze medal in the 50 m butterfly stroke at the se- nior national meet which was held at Trivandrum in September.
