PAGE 10 Middle School Chronicles R The role of carbohydrates, proteins, fats and more was explained at the Food Festival put up by the students of Grade 6 in June. The Teach ‘N Sessions by students of Grade 1 to 8 were indeed a wonderful opportunity for parents to see their children take classes in Math, English and the Sciences! A ‘Read-a-thon’ was conducted in Grades 6, 7 and 8 in August to celebrate the joy of reading. Students of Grade 6 read books written by Enid Blyton. Books by the author, Roald Dahl were lapped up by students of Grade 7. Grade 8 students enjoyed the books of Ruskin Bond. Students celebrated “Bhasha Sangam” in December and spoke 5 basic sentences in 15 different languages- Sanskrit, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Konkani, Marathi, Gujrati, Punjabi, Bengali, Odiya, Urdu, Kashmiri, Dongri and Nepali.
