Nico Rosberg looked set for his sixth win of the season at the Austrian Grand Prix , but a last lap collision with his teammate and eventual winner , Lewis Hamilton , dropped the German down to fourth place and afterwards hinted that his fellow Mercedes driver was the one to blame . On the final lap Hamilton managed to get a good run out of Turn 1 and had his nose ahead as the pair went into Turn 2 . Rosberg , apparently suffering with brake issues , missed his braking mark and turning in point , going straight as Hamilton swooped around the outside . The pair touched and the resulting contact disintegrated the front wing on Rosberg ’ s car , while Hamilton was unscathed and powered on to victory , while Rosberg limped home in fourth place .
