For Ricciardo who crashed 24 hours earlier in qualifying, and a start that
forced him to pit early it was one of his sweetest victories, one which even he
would have not predicted before the race.
Beaming from ear to ear he said on the podium, “I can’t really believe it. It was
a crazy race. We knew the podium was a chance after the restart, then we heard
of the problems with Lewis and Seb. I made an unplanned pitstop at the beginning,
and I dropped to 17th place.”
