WELCOME BACK RED!
Eagle eyed readers of GPI might have noted that the cover design always
feature the colour of the team that wins the Grand Prix of respective editions,
hence for the past year we had numerous aquamarine coloured covers, with
the occasional (two!) blue covers. Now, starting with the first edition of the
2017 Formula 1 World Championship season, we have a Red cover at long
last and a welcome change that is.
Not only is this great for our magazine, but Formula 1 in general is in a better
place when Ferrari celebrate on the top step of the podium, as Sebastian Vettel
did with his sensational victory at the season opening Australian Grand Prix.
This was not an inherited lead, or won thanks to some other’s misfortune,
victory went to the team with the best strategy and the fastest car on the
day, in which Mercedes were, as usual, blisteringly quick but beaten fair-and-
square by a fired up German in his Red car.
We have the F1 season opening weekend at Albert Park, in Melbourne, well
covered with driver quotes, results, reports and great eye-candy.
We also welcome Aussie scribbler Ben Stevens to our squad!
