ewis Hamilton was unseated from the top of the
Formula 1 world championship standings for the first
time since the British Grand Prix in July, as he finished
third in the Singapore Grand Prix while his Mercedes
teammate and title rival powered to victory. Hamilton was
out of sorts all weekend, and at one stage in the race
looked set to finish fourth until his team made an inspired
decision to pit him late in the race and as a result claim the
final spot on the podium.
