aniel Ricciardo and Red Bull took a gamble late
in the Singapore Grand Prix by bolting on fresh
Pirelli supersoft tyres and pursue race leader
Nico Rosberg, their gutsy ploy nearly bore fruit but they
fell short by less than half a second. Nevertheless the
astute thinking and eagerness to challenge the pace
setter turned a mundane race at Marina Bay Circuit into a
thriller and nearly won it in the process.
