imi Raikkonen will forever be
remembered for his car-to-pitwall
conversations - to put it politely - during
the European Grand Prix at baku City Circuit
the taciturn Finn was at his best during a
frustrating race for the Ferrari driver.
The veteran complains about wayward plastic
bags floating on the main straight....
Raikkonen: “There was some f*cking plastic
flying around and I had to avoid it!”
Then has a go at the marshals for not showing
blue flags to backmarkers...
Raikkonen: “Hey where the f*cking are the blue
flags! I’ve been following him the whole f*cking
ap now!”
Ferrari asked the Finn to allow Sebastian
Vettel pass...
Engineer: “Thank-you Kimi, thank-you...”
Raikkonen: “Well now you tell him to push,
because I don’t want that he’s in front of me... I
mean [censored by FOM]”
Technical issues afflict the Ferrari driver late in
the race....
Raikkonen: “Is it the same as last race, let’s
say?”
Engineer: “I can’t answer Kimi, I can’t answer
I’m sorry.”
Raikkonen: “Surely you can say yes or no!?”
Engineer: “I can’t Kimi, I can’t.”
After the race Raikkonen added: “You would
think they are allowed to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ but
that’s not the way it was.”
