Azerbaijan - in Asia - hosted the Grand Prix of Europe! What Bernie
Ecclestone wants Bernie gets.
There were rumblings before the race that the track might have been
unsafe for Formula 1. And indeed during practice and qualifying some
illustrious names came in close contact with the walls.
The GP2 race was chaotic and mayhem was expected around the
challenging confines of the Baku City Circuit.
But, no worries, as what transpired on Sunday afternoon was an incident
free Formula 1 race in which Nico Rosberg simply cruised, unhindered
to claim a comfortable lights to flag victory.
Granted for some it may have been a yawn of a race, however there was
intrigue in the form of radio rants of Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen,
which remained talking points even after the race.
