THE WILDERNESS

2

Who said the wilderness was a bad place to be as we think about it, it never says that Jesus Christ did not have what he needed while he was in the wilderness. As we study the days spent in the wilderness we find that time was spent walking and talking with his creator. Jesus Christ was prepared by the power of his creator to go thru the season of the wilderness. We have to understand that the season of the wilderness is just a transitional season in our lives.

Anytime we are given a new focus, agenda, vision, or mission; we must be prepared for it. The wilderness is where we are given the tools to be successful in the endeavors to come. In the wilderness is where the instruction is given and the conversation of how to execute or apply the information is also given. Remember according to Matthew 4:1 Jesus Christ was led into the wilderness by the Spirit which means the season of being in the wilderness is required; it is fundamental for the spiritual journey.

So to be led by the Spirit is to be comforted first and then given instruction so that the promise of victory can manifest, show up in your situation in all parts of your life. How could we think that anything the Spirit gives us instruction to do would not be in our favor for we know the Spirit knows all the ways of our creator. Remember everything that we are instructed to do is to continue the process of fulfilling the will of the Almighty God. So I ask how could we allow the adversary to tells us something that we know not to be true and why do most entertain the deception that they see. We need to observe the tactic of the adversary and pay attention to the adversary approach.

Now we see that in the wilderness Jesus Christ was given the needed tools to stand against the attack of the adversary, for we see he stood on the words of God letting the adversary know I may appear to be weak on the outside but I am truly strong on the inside; do not judge a book by its cover rather by the content that resides inside.

Know that the wilderness is what you go thru to get to the other promises of God but if you do not adhere to instruction the wilderness that should be a blessing will quickly become a curse. For we are protected thru the trial and tribulation as long as we follow the instruction given; if we do not then being disobedient will lead us to death. So know as believers we shall at some point be led into the wilderness because at some point we too shall drink from the same cup Jesus Christ did; at some point we shall have to enter into the wilderness.
