Maximize taxpayer trust , value and benefits through sound financial policies and practices .

Objective 1 : Financial Sustainability
Position the district for and ensure short-term and long-term financial strength and viability .
We are committed to supporting current and future service offerings through careful and responsible financial planning and management . We will work toward an appropriate balance of tax and non-tax sources to maintain a strong financial position amidst changing economic conditions . Decisions related to parks , facilities , and programs will rely on evaluation of current and projected financial and operational data to effectively prioritize and determine adequate return on investment . We will continuously explore , evaluate , and implement progressive and responsible financial policies and practices and commit to sharing and communicating financial and budgetary data in an open and transparent manner .
Objective 2 : Balanced Investments
Balance investments in existing and new parks , facilities , and programs aligned with community needs .
We understand the importance of caring for and investing in our existing parks , facilities and programs while simultaneously seeking to add new offerings . We will rely upon ongoing community feedback to assist in identifying and prioritizing needs and making decisions for the greater good of the District . As we seek to balance investments between existing and new resources , we will factor in the impacts of ongoing operating / maintenance costs and ensure the capital replacement list accounts for all high priority improvements .
Objective 3 : Enduring Partnerships
Establish mutually beneficial partnerships to meet the district ’ s current and future needs .
We recognize the value and importance of partnerships to meet the evolving needs of our community . We will continue to strengthen and expand relationships with our government , nonprofit , business , and other community partners to leverage our shared resources and explore alternative strategies to collaboratively meet the current and future needs of the District .
