FITNESS A Glimpse into the Fitness Training of Tvesa Malik C.H.E.K Practitioners are specialists in Corrective Exercise and High-performance Kinesiology, developed by Paul Chek. T hey are trained in assessment techniques and individualized application of exercise and exercise programs. As a CHEK Practitioner, Deepika Chopra specializes in corrective exercise, strength and conditioning and power training. Speaking with her, GolfPlus tried to get a sneak peek of the fi tness training session for the amazing Indian Lady Golfer, Tvesa Malik (Ranked #45, European Tour 2019). HERE IS WHAT THE PRACTITIONER HAS TO SAY (Releasing the fascia on the foam roller) Post a quick musculoskeletal screening, which reveals the tight muscles and loss of mobility in some joints; she typically rolls out her tight fascia, mobilizes her thoracic spine, shoulder joint, and actively stretches her tight muscles. (Shoulder mobility with exercise bands) From there we move on to a well structured and wholesome program designed to meet her golfi ng needs. Her functional exercises are designed to restore, balance, lengthen, strengthen and coordinate movement patterns specifi c to her Golf. During her programs, I always integrate a lot of stability, with the help of stability ball. This integration phase has come after strengthening the muscles in isolation.
