Club News The month of May Karma Lakelands Golf Club witnessed a Junior Golf Tournament in association with Ultimate Golf where 70 budding and junior golfers participated. Amongst the winners two juniors get a chance to represent the country at the Ciputra World Junior Golf Championship, Jakarta from 5-8 June, 2018. According to Digvijay, “the junior golfers are the future of the game and the future of golf is in bright hands. The Ultimate Junior Tour is a great platform for the nourishment of young talent across India.” According to Sundeep Verma, Director, Ultimate Golf “The idea of such tournaments and collective association is to grow the game at grassroots level and give young talent the right exposure to take their game to the next level” The prize distribution had the presence of Mr. Ashwani Khurana, the owner of the Karma Lakelands Golf Club and Mr. Digvijay Singh himself to give away the prizes to the winners. The tournament had 18 categories, 9 categories for boys and 9 categories for girls. Chawrasia met with the future junior champions. An initiative by S.S.P. Chawrasia the brand ambassador of the leading golf apparel brand Crest Link, to grow the game of golf and inspire budding golfers to showcase their talent on a competitive platform. The tournament observed immense participation from all parts of the country especially east and also saw a very healthy competition with winners from each category outshining their counterparts.
