Let’s start by bringing into practice a process that shall get us the best results and help us hit good shots time and again.
Given below is a four step process which according to me shall be extremely benefi cial for a player of any standard.
Initially it may seem tedious and time consuming to follow but as we practice it, slowly we can become profi cient and
it takes only 5-10 seconds.
After describing the solution
and selecting the club, we
should stand behind the ball
and visualize what we are
about to undertake. After
visualizing the shot including
the trajectory, pitch and roll etc
we should look at taking a few
practice swings, not full maybe
just half to feel the shot that we
are about to execute.
Visualizing
Practice swing
Take the stance – parallel to club face
Last look at the target
Finally we step up to the ball, place our club to the target,
open our feet parallel to the club head, take a look at our
target with a À nal visual of the shot that we want to execute
and then start the backswing.
Set up the club
