WITHIN A YEAR HRIDAY HAS PARTICIPATED IN VARIOUS JUNIOR TOURNAMENTS CLINCHING VICTORY IN ALMOST ALL. BEING THE SMALLEST PLAYER IN THE TOURNAMENTS AND HIS HOME COURSE, THIS WONDER KID HAS GOT A LOT OF ATTENTION AND ASPIRATION TO BE THE BEST AMONGST THE BEST. HIS COACHES MAHESH KUMAR AT CGA AND DAVE TAYLOR, PGA PROFESSIONAL IN ABU DHABI, ARE BEHIND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS FUTURE STAR. GOLFPLUS INTERACTS WITH THE AMAZING GOLFER WHO ONE DAY MAY WELL SURPRISE EVERYONE WITH HIS NATURAL GOLFING SKILLS. GPJ: Who prompted you to take up golf as a sport? HR: When I was 3 years my father took me to the golf course. My love for golf began from watching my father hitting golf balls into the range, at the Abu Dhabi City Golf Course. Since a toddler with a plastic golf club, I liked mimicking my father’s swing style.I formally started learning golf at the Chandigarh Golf Association, which is my home practice golf range. GPJ: When did you start playing Junior Golf Tournaments? HR: I started playing golf tournaments 10 GolfPlus Junior July-August 2019 since 2018 and have also participated in various Junior and Sub Junior Tours and Tournaments. GPJ: How do you manage your Ɵ me between golf and studies? HR: I stick to a fi xed schedule and a plan in order to balance my time after school. My day kicks off at 5.35 AM every day. Putting in a 1 hour of studying after school sees me rushing to the CGA driving range for my Golf coaching and practice session. I evaluate my progress report of the game weekly after practicing for 9 holes at the Chandigarh Golf Course. Accordingly, I have been guided to focus and plan on the various aspects of game. GPJ: What has been the role of IGU? HR: IGU has various events which are the breeding ground for the future champions.I will be focusing on to be a part of IGU National Squad program in Category B and be in IGU order of merit. GPJ: What are your future plans? HR: I want “To be # 1 Golfer in the World” as well as wish to represent India at the Olympic and Asian Games in the future.
