EDITOR’S NOTE
It is a great moment for us at Golfplus as we are onto the third edition of Golfplus Junior. It was in
January this year when we were on the drawing board discussing the content to be included in the
magazine. Little did we know that we would be creating history of sorts by launching our Junior
Golf Magazine which is the only publication in this genre. In this issue we invite the teen golf
sensation of India Shabham Jaglan to be our guest editor.
Happy reading!
Editor-in-chief
THE RIGHT TEAM IS THE KEY
I
t feels great to be a part of Golfplus Junior
which is the only junior golf publication
in the world! It is my privilege to connect
with you all through Golfplus Junior,
the Magazine is a great platform for the
younger generation of golfers to showcase
their achievements and talents. Through the
magazine alot of awareness is being spread
about the massive talent that our junior golfers
posses which is really very important.
On Golf scenario in India
International golf scenario for India I feel is
catching up especially after what Shubhankar
Sharma has been doing. Anirban Lahiri and
Gaganjeet Bhullar Sir have been persistent in
their performances abroad. Though Indian
players are catching up fast as we have more
players playing on the International Tours we
are still far behind. We do have enough potential
to compete at the highest level. Indian golf
talent has been seeing major improvement and
we could clearly see it when we play in the
premier international tournaments, we can also
see the difference between our players and the
big names. I feel Junior Golf can do miracles
if besides playing more tournaments, we get to
play more international events. What greater
honour than representing your country abroad?
Many of the Amateurs are now turning pro
which is a good sign.
Grow th mantra
One must have the hunger to win and be humble.
Improvement can only be done by sticking to
who you are and the people you trust rather than
wandering around and changing coaches again n
again. Stick to someone you could trust and keep
working hard and have belief in your Team.

On fi tness
To all the junior golfers - just take everything
really easy. Don’t play too many tournaments
just enjoy the process, work on your ¿ tness. Keep
everything on the same track and reminisce the
whole processes, it will take you new heights.
Avoid injuries as much as possible. It is really
dif¿ cult for a good golfer to be a good athlete so
one must work extra hard to be one.
Role of the mentors
The key role of the parents is to be supportive to
what the child wants to do. Just let him follow
his passion and help him in that process. Make
the game of golf more enjoyable not boring
for the child.
I have been surrounded with
a really good Team - Mr.
Amit Luthra from The Golf
Foundation, Nonita Qureshi
Ma’am, my parents specially
