    The popularity of a
politician over citizens is a
huge factor that would
determine whether they have a
good chance of getting their
position or not.
There are a lot of factors that
would add up to the popularity
of a politician in which in
this paper, the main highlights
would be popularity in showbiz
and popularity in family name
of politicians.
  Despite being voted because
of popularity, some have yet to
prove their righteousness in
their positions. There are some
cases where some famous
politicians had done actions
that violate the law. Some of
those cases would be discussed
in this journal.
    In this journal, the
discussion would take on the
roots or history on the issue
of using the popularity of
politicians in elections in the
Philippines. This phenomenon
would be analyzed based on the
two factors; popularity on
showbiz and popularity on the
family name. The matter on its
cultural and political context
would be discussed. The
researchers would also look
upon it from a sociological
perspective.
