RV TRAVEL
A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT

There are plenty of reasons to visit Victoria ’ s Great Ocean Road . But here ’ s another one : the holiday parks dotted along this 243km stretch of coastal beauty are among the best you ’ ll find anywhere . Pick a park , any park – you ’ ll be impressed .
However , when I ’ m in this neck of the woods , usually on my way to Apollo Bay , having had some lunch in Lorne , I tend to stay at Big4 Wye River Holiday Park . Let me tell you wye . I mean , why …
KOALAS AND KOOKABURRAS
Nestled in a valley surrounded by eucalyptus forests , this holiday park has a huge range of grassed sites . Neat , tidy unpowered sites and powered sites with concrete slabs are available , and there ’ s a range of cabins and more luxurious accommodation options on offer as well . The cabins are kept clean and present very well .
The camp kitchen is large and very accommodating . Barbecue hotplates , kettles , toasters , loads of bench space … it ’ s a very comfortable , welcoming facility to use as required . If you ’ d prefer to cook outside , you ’ ll find some barbecues here and there around the park .
