MEATBALL MARVEL

BACON BOURBON MEATBALLS , ANYONE ? YES , THEY ARE AS DELICIOUS AS THEY SOUND …

MEATBALLS INGREDIENTS
• 500 grams of ground beef
• 3-4 rashers of bacon , cook and chopped
• Half a medium yellow onion , finely chopped
• Half a cup of parsley , chopped
• Half a cup of breadcrumbs
• 1 large egg
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
• Half a teaspoon of pepper
• Half a teaspoon of chilli powder
BOURBON BARBECUE SAUCE INGREDIENTS
• One third of a cup of ketchup
• One quarter of a cup of bourbon
• 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
• Half a teaspoon of salt
• Half a teaspoon of garlic powder
• One quarter of a teaspoon of smoked paprika
• One third of a cup of brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard

METHOD
1 . In a large pan , cook the bacon over a medium heat until crispy . Chop the bacon finely and add to a large bowl with the minced beef .
2 . Add the onion , parsley , egg , breadcrumbs and seasonings to the meatball mixture and use your hands to combine well .
3 . Form into balls and set aside . In a medium saucepan , combine the ketchup , bourbon , Worcestershire sauce , mustard , brown sugar and seasonings . Cook over a medium-high heat until boiling .
4 . Reduce to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes . Once finished , remove from the heat .
5 . In a skillet , heat two tablespoons of olive oil and cook the meatballs for five to 10 minutes , rotating them occasionally , or until brown and crispy .
6 . Remove from the heat and toss the meatballs in the sauce .
7 . Preheat the oven to 180 degrees . Line the baking tray with baking paper and spray with cooking spray .
8 . Mix all ingredients until well blended , shaping them into balls .
9 . Bake for about 16-18 minutes . Enjoy !
