The Ciari Ascender comes with a concealed lever to loosen the strings and unlock the mid-neck hinge , allowing the guitar to bend completely backwards as the strings follow the fold under light tension . The result : a guitar that can fit in a backpack . That ’ s right : a full-size electric guitar that can fit in a backpack .
When it ’ s time to play , it ’ s just a matter of straightening the neck and returning the lever to its concealed , locked position . The strings are automatically retightened but require a light tune before playing .
