HOTDOG HERO

THESE AMERICAN BEEF AND CHEESE SUBS ARE PERFECTION IN A BUN …

INGREDIENTS
• 500 grams beef strips
• 6 hot dog rolls
• Steak seasoning
• Handful of mushrooms , sliced
• 1 red capsicum cut into strips
• 1 brown onion cut into half rings
• Shredded tasty cheese
• Mayonnaise
• Burger sauce
• Oil
METHOD
1 . Season beef strips with steak seasoning . Add beef strips and a generous drizzle of oil to a frying pan , and cook on a medium heat until the beef is cooked through . This should take about eight minutes .
2 . In a separate pan , add a drizzle of oil , the sliced mushrooms , capsicum and brown onion . Sauté for about 10 minutes or until they are soft .
3 . Combine the beef strips with the vegetables and , on a low heat , cook together for about another five minutes . Add a bit more steak seasoning to the pan .
4 . Slice the hotdog buns in half , open them up and lay them on a baking tray . Add a heaped amount of the beef and veggie mix to each hotdog bun . Cover with shredded cheese and place in the oven , under the grill .
5 . Grill the hotdogs for about five minutes , or until the cheese has melted and become golden brown . Add a drizzle of mayonnaise and the burger sauce to each bun .
6 . Serve … and enjoy !
