COOL CANOPY IDEA
We spent $ 65 on eBay on a large roll of self-adhesive sound proofing / insulation and used it to totally line the canopy we purchased for the back of our 4WD , before adding shelves , drawers , etc . It took us a day but it has been worth its weight in gold .
We used 5mm-thick insulation , though you could easily go thicker . The inside of our canopy stays very cool – the insulation is great for the fridge and any food in the drawers is not affected by heat at all . The water in our drinking tank never gets over-warm , either .
The outside of the canopy will be too hot to touch but touching the inside is only warm .
