PHILLIP ISLAND !

1KOALA CONSERVATION CENTRE

Phillip Island ’ s koala population is under threat from habitat loss and road mortality . The Koala Conservation Centre is a refuge for the island ’ s koalas , where they live safely in their natural habitat .
Two elevated boardwalks lead visitors around the lush , native bushland – it won ’ t take long before you spot a koala or three high up in the trees .
The conservation reserve also offers six hectares of bushland – be on the lookout for colourful native birds , wallabies and even echidnas as you meander along the easily accessible trails , which are dotted with informative placards and displays .
There is a fee to enter the Koala Conservation Centre ; however , it is well worth it .
