CARAVANNING WITH DOGS
If you are taking your dog with you on your travels , you are not alone . But there is a lot to consider . Making sure they are up to date with their vaccinations is important , as is understanding that they will limit where you can travel and stay . Before heading off on a big trip with your dog , we highly recommend taking a few shorter trips to find out how well they travel .
HARNESS FOR THE FUR BABY
Having your dog unrestrained in the car is never a good idea . A dog that can wander is a distraction for the driver , to say nothing of what could happen to it in the event of an accident . Research the various harnesses that are available , for your sake and theirs .

OTHER DOGGY ISSUES
Have you considered your dog ’ s hygiene while on the road , bedding , and even identification ? All dogs should be microchipped so that their owners can be identified if the dog is presented to a vet . In addition , have the dog ’ s name and your contact information engraved on a collar .
It should go without saying that you must have an appropriate lead for your dog ; however , it is surprising how many dog owners feel they do not require them . Almost all van parks that accept dogs will require that yours be kept on a lead at all times .
