WiTi Anti-Theft is a revolutionary anti-theft system for RVs – it is the only anti-theft system designed specifically for caravans and trailers fitted with electric brakes .
This Australian-owned , designed and manufactured product detects movement via a highly sensitive gyroscope and accelerometer , the same technology used in modern drone applications .
If a caravan / trailer is bumped or moved while the Anti-Theft system is active , WiTi immediately locks the brakes , flashes all the lights on the van and even sounds an alarm .
“ The caravan or camper trailer is completely immobilised and will be impossible to tow ,” WiTi company owner Tony Maddison said .
“ WiTi Anti-Theft is sensitive to two types of movement : acceleration and sharp knocks or bumps . WiTi is sensitive enough to detect attempted break-ins as well as an attempted theft of the van . We have programmed out a sideways swaying motion that is normally associated with wind to avoid false alarms in windy conditions .”
The device is supplied with two key-fob remote controls and it is easy to arm and disarm by simply pressing the button .
Incorporated into WiTi Anti-Theft is a safety system that prevents the alarm from being activated accidentally when travelling . There is a three-second pause between pressing the key-fob button and activating the alarm . If movement is detected during this pause , the alarm will not arm .
GPS INTEGRATION
The company launched WiTi GPS integration about 18 months ago in partnership with QuikTrak . WiTi GPS is offered with either live tracking for real time tracking or a subscription model called QProtect , which is designed specifically for RV owners where live tracking is not a requirement .
