QUICK-FILL WATER SYSTEM
I haven ’ t come across many articles about the ‘ quick-fill ’ set-up of a caravan when filling up the water tanks . I know when staying off the grid in , say , free camps , that my one thorn would be the diminishing fresh water in my tanks .
Some of the free camps have access to fresh water , but then I faced the problem of how to get water into my tanks via a quick-fill set-up , as this requires water pressure . So I devised the following :
1 . A 30L jerry can with a wide opening ; and
• The pressure was equal or below town water pressure . Why ? So I was in no way compromising the efficiency of my BEST water filter requirement ; and
• It had to be a 12V pump ( wired with a cigarette-style socket ) so that I could draw power off the caravan or car .
I ended up purchasing the RULE 200 GPH / 760 LPH pump . I tested my system at home and it works , and it ’ s now ready to be tested in the coming months when on the road !

2 . An immersible pump that met the following requirements :
• It had to be small enough to fit through the opening of the jerry can ;
• The draw on the water was from the top of the pump so it could easily stand upright ;
