Let ’ s get into it !
Well , here we go – another year underway and I think we can all agree that it would be nice if 2021 went a little easy on us . We ’ ve earned it .
Speaking for myself , it was just … fantastic to hitch up the van and hit the road with the family for a week over the New Year period .
The Australian RV industry is thriving right now , following lengthy shutdowns due to covid-19 . If you were to place an order for a new van now , it ’ s likely your van wouldn ’ t be ready until mid year – at the earliest .
Therefore , the secondhand RV scene has become something of a seller ’ s market . Buying a used
van is certainly a viable option . Buy privately , sure , but buying a used rig from a dealer is , we believe , a potentially better way to go . An equivalent van might be a little more expensive if purchased through a dealer , but dealers must provide certain statutory guarantees that aren ’ t applicable in a private sale .
Either way , there are some essential checks that you ’ d do well to make before purchasing . In this issue , we continue our series on buying a used van and hope you find it useful .
I hope this year has so far been kind to you and yours – I ’ ll see you out there .
