NEW CRUISEMASTER

HITS THE MARKET

Cruisemaster has launched a new suspension system for the Australian caravan market , XT Freestyle
XT Freestyle is the sixth generation XT suspension system and features a number of revisions over previous systems .
First , Cruisemaster ’ s bolt-on disc-brake caliper design , previously reserved for the ATX systems , is now available on XT Freestyle . This allows for the caravan to be upgraded from electric drum brakes to hydraulic disc brakes at any time .
Additionally , XT Freestyle gets a built-in cable tray on the arm , eliminating the need for zip ties , etc ., to keep the brake cabling safe from road debris and other hazards . A special cable guide has been added to the suspension ’ s hinge bracket to facilitate the handbrake cable , too .
Another important addition , according to Cruisemaster , is the one-piece reinforcement plate under the stub axle . Drop or straight axle configurations are now available for all XT suspension systems across the range , while the ATM rating has been upgraded from 4450kg to 4500kg on tandem XT kits .
XT Freestyle is available with Firestone airbags or Kings coil springs . It offers a choice of Cruisemaster A / T electric brakes , or Dexter or Al-Ko electric brakes . A range of stud patterns and drums spigots allows the owner to match wheels with most common tow vehicles , according to Cruisemaster .
