CLEVER TABLE IDEA
DRAIN KIT
I recently made a two-in-one drain / waste kit to suit many brands of vans . I now kit this under the CaravanMate brand ( you published an article on my CaravanMate app in GoRV # 37 ). The kit is not glued so it can be adjusted to suit many vans . A breather is included to help flow .
To make better use of the table in our Golden Eagle caravan , I moved the mounting position from the centre position towards a corner , so that the table when swivelled around would provide either a closer position to the seated area for a child and extra walking space in the kitchen area , or more space to those seated in the dinette and a usable table for those seated on the lounge opposite .
This works in other caravans as well , with a centre-pole-mounted table .

IT ’ S A DOG ’ S LIFE
Travelling with a dog is something that many of us do . And if other dogs are anything like mine , they want to follow you in and out of the RV .
At the same time , they must always be tethered while outside . I solved the problem of always tying and untying my dog like this :
Fasten two carabiners on each end of a rope that is long enough to allow the dog to enter the RV and go to the spot where he likes to lie . ( Probably right in the middle of the floor so that you have to step over him ) and also long enough to go where he needs to outside .
Drill a hole in the automatic step of your RV . If you have a portable step , drill the hole in the chassis just beside the door .
One carabiner attached to this hole , the other to the dog ' s collar . Anything for an easy life !
