C T N E M E G A AN M WORDS AND IMAGES: FOUR HANDS IN A TIN CAN WHEN YOU’RE ON THE ROAD FULL TIME, DISASTER CAN STRIKE AT ANY TIME, AS THE CREW FROM FOUR HANDS IN A TIN CAN HAVE FOUND… Hitting the road in a caravan is a dream that many Australians have. Its drawcard is varied and many, from travelling to see the sites, to getting away from the rat race and the stress of everyday life. Unfortunately, things can and do go wrong on the road, and these things can seem magnified because you are living in a moving tiny house away from your support networks. These incidents can make or break a trip away and they certainly turn into a yarn that’s shared around the campfire. Here, we share a few of the disasters that we, and others, have had on the road… 30 \ UP THE GARDEN PATH Yes, our navigation system in our 200 Series either really dislikes us, or craves more adventure than we do. We’re still trying to call that one. We are often sent on the wrong path, or encouraged to drive a dirt road that is running in the same direction, parallel to the bitumen road that would take us to the same desired location. Our biggest Mr Toyota experience was when we got stuck on a dirt track in the Pilliga. We were faced with farm fences, overgrown paddocks and had nowhere to turn around, but Mr Toyota still told us to continue along the road. But what road? WATCH THE VIDEO
