THE FRONT BOOT JAYCO GOES HYBRID Jayco has launched its first purpose-built offroad hybrid van, the CrossTrak. The CrossTrak is built on Jayco’s Endurance 2.0 chassis coupled with its own JTech independent suspension. It incorporates Jayco’s so-called Tough Frame, a vacuum-bonded four-layer wall construction with an outer skin of hail-resistant fibreglass. The internal furniture of this pop-top incorporates an aluminium frame and all parts are screwed – rather than stapled – together. Among the standard features are a tunnel boot large enough for a portable fridge, a flexible 150W solar panel, a rear outdoor shower/privacy area, and an external kitchen. 54 \ “The hybrid camper category is popular due to its compact and lightweight benefits and we wanted to ensure Jayco was responsible for producing the best offroad hybrid RV product in Australia,” Jayco Australia CEO Garry Moore said.
