THE FRONT BOOT
GETTING COLDER
Aussie Traveller has produced
a fridge, the XCD, that
managing director Michael
Freney says ‘bridges the gap’
between two-way and three-
way RV refrigerators.
“There’s long been a divide
in the market between
compressor and three-
way fridges, with each type
sacrificing and compromising
in some way,” he said. “Usually
three-way fridges fair really
well but are sometimes let
down on just how cool they
get the milk and beer. We
wanted to create a solution
that offered customers the
best of both worlds.”
The XCD comes in 90L and
180L capacities, each running
on either 12V, 240V or gas,
and capable of achieving
temperatures between 2
and 3ºC, and the freezers
-15 to -18ºC.
With a latch to prevent
opening while travelling, the
ability to select the hinge on
either the left side or the right,
Aussie Traveller says its XCD
fridge is designed to suit a
range of weather conditions
and replace most existing
three-way fridges in RVs.

NEW MILENCO HITCH LOCK
Dometic has developed a new
caravan coupling lock, the
Milenco Hitch lock, touted by
the company as an “excellent
solution for RV owners
looking to add an extra layer
or security to their caravan,
camper or motorhome”.
Constructed from “high-
quality steel, the Milenco Hitch
Lock functions as an excellent
anti-theft device. It has been
performance-tested and can
withstand damage from drills
and cutters”.
A patent is pending on the
Milenco Hitch Lock’s unique
chain locking function, which
separates it from other hitch
locks in the market – “this
clever feature ensures that the
RV cannot be stolen using the
breakaway chains”.
The Milenco Hitch Lock is
easy to install to the hitch
of an RV, taking only a few
seconds to fit and secure.
Simply pass the breakaway
chain through the lock and
then secure.
