Normally, I’ d spend this time talking about the past year’ s hiccups and victories, but not this time. As you read this, GOPIP is embarking on a new path, one that is grounded in our mission to advocate, educate and celebrate. We realize change is difficult, but we’ ve never lost sight of our north star; our mission is to work for the betterment of the greater Ottumwa region. We are launching new events that aim directly at the leading industries in Wapello County, legislative advocacy, celebrating the region’ s leaders and small business, while simultaneously partnering with groups that bolster the quality of life for our area. We are reinforcing our commitment to our investors in a manner that delivers quantifiable results. Finally, we are finding ways to strategically partner with our members to strengthen not only GOPIP’ s brand, but the brands of all of our membership.

We have never shied away from a challenge, and this year will be no different. We will continue to adjust our operations to ensure that we meet the expectations of our membership and moreover, the community in which we serve. I am proud to say that the GOPIP team that we have built over the last three years is one that is among the most talented folks I’ ve had the pleasure of working with, and we are here to help grow our region to new heights. |
