This indoor / outdoor waterpark encompasses 13 acres and offers numerous opportunities for aquatic fun , including a wave pool , children ’ s play area , two curly slides , the speed slide , an indoor slide , competitive indoor pool , a floating obstacle course and sand volleyball . The indoor pools are open year-round , and staff are looking forward to a great season at the Beach in 2023 , beginning Memorial Day weekend . The facility also offers an array of swim classes and a fully-stocked concession stand in the summer . It is also home to the Ottumwa High School boys and girls swim teams .
