Schroeder Graphics
Originally Nutz Graphics , the company was bought by Andrew Schroeder in 2014 and was housed in Montezuma for a year before making the move to Ottumwa in 2015 . In 2019 , the name was changed to Schroeder Graphics to further serve the community . Schroeder Graphics works hand and hand with Indian Hills and almost all of the schools within a 50-mile radius . They do in-house graphic design and produce anything from small window / cut decals to full wall murals , vehicle wraps and billboards . It currently employs six people and moved to its forever shop of 12,000 square feet out by the airport at 14007 Commissary Drive .
Superior Machine
Superior Machine is a CNC Machine shop with headquarters located in Albia , Iowa . Services offered are machining on CNC lathes and machine centers , laser cutting , welding and fabricating , assembly , and much more . They currently have 145,000 square feet under roof in Albia and are expanding to a new 175,000-square-foot facility in Ottumwa . Operations in Ottumwa will be starting in January and will feature lathes and mills to start . MAAX Spas , a quality leader in manufacturing hot water products , is based in Chandler , Arizona and is expanding their swim spa manufacturing to Ottumwa . The Vita Spa ® STR™ and American Whirlpool PowerPool ® swim spa lines will be produced and distributed to more than 350 dealers in 26 countries worldwide from this facility . Current figures show the facility will have an significant economic impact for Ottumwa , with 100 new or retained jobs , nearly $ 23 million in sales and $ 6 million in payroll .
