experience they imagine. Baptist Health Richmond’ s outstanding obstetricians and nurse-midwives deliver babies with great care and focus on the mother’ s and baby’ s health. Many OB / GYN team members have extra training in obstetrics and newborn care and are well-versed in evidencebased programs, such as skin-to-skin contact called Kangaroo care, and offer postpartum support and breastfeeding guidance.

Baptist Health Richmond’ s Community Needs Health Assessment identified substance abuse and mental health as the area’ s most pressing need.

As part of our Christcentered mission, we support the community through events, including the Pattie A. Clay Auxiliary Charity Ball and Chalk the Walk, which raise money for behavioral health services such as expanding in-person and virtual care and reducing the stigma of mental health. In addition, we strive to advance health equity and overall well-being through relationships, assisting patients with transportation services, offering a patient food bank, and partnering with OnRequest to provide healthcare through the Mobile Clinic.
