Five years ago, we set out to provide a new service to a relatively small community. What started as a mission to offer expert spinal care has grown into a regional destination for world-class treatment. In addition to these procedures, we’ ve recently introduced a groundbreaking surgical technique: the Prone Transpsoas Lateral Interbody Fusion( PTP LIF). This minimally invasive approach, unlike traditional spinal fusion surgery, positions patients on their stomach( prone position). This allows access to both the anterior and posterior spinal columns at once, reducing surgery time by over an hour. The result? Less pain, a faster recovery, and a quicker return to normal activities. It’ s just one example of how we continue to evolve and improve the care we provide.
From the very first consultation, patients are treated as partners in their journey to recovery. Our spine surgery coordinators, nurse practitioners, and nurse manager work closely together to ensure each patient feels informed, supported, and confident every step of the way. Before surgery, patients attend an educational session to fully understand what to expect.
