activities
The “Hands That Feed Us Gallery Walk” activity will help participants understand some of the
issues and tensions that food workers along the food chain face. The “Food Policy Debate”
will then give participants a chance to form persuasive arguments and understand the policy
aspects of some common issues facing food workers.
We also recommend assigning some of the StoryCorps or Feeding the Giant interviews and
videos to deepen understanding. This could be done in a large group, in smaller groups with
the right technology, or for participants to listen to on their own. The discussion questions can
be used to unpack learnings from stories that participants heard or saw.
