Uncle to Nephew
Well, nephew, I'll tell you:
Life for me hasn't been a diamond.
It's had pointy and sharp ends,
And there's been traps,
And places that were rough,
Fake.
But all the time
I've been shining,
And changing colors
And replacing and changing,
And ugly patterns
And black diamonds
Where there hasn't been any color.
So, nephew, it's still pretty rough.
Don't break it.
Because your going to be falling.
Don't let it be cracked
For hold on to it tightly
I'm still shining,
And life for me hasn't been a true diamond.
