Ana to Dad
Well, dad, I'll tell you:
Life for me hasn't been a diamond bracelet.
It's had scratches,
And it's been tight,
And pokey,
And had broken parts,
But I keep wearing it
Fake.
But all the time
I've been polishing it,
And its been dull,
But don't take it off,
Because you'll find it's kind of hard
So, don't pawn it,
For it's still shining, dad,
It's still charming,
And life for me hasn't been a diamond bracelet.
