Course) - I have been
associated with this game
for the past 30 years Since
both my daughters are
working and I am the only
one who is really actively
playing. I am playing golf from
last 18 years and really
enjoying this game. I
started playing golf in
Bhatinda. I have played in
Port Blair, U.S.A etc. I started playing golf 6-7
years back. My husband
used to play. I never
played any game in my
life. My husband insisted.
He bought me a new golf
set from abroad and that
got me started. I have been playing golf
for 20 years. I used to
work earlier. My game is
as bad or good as it was
before. So I am here to
improve it, to learn and
try to do my best as much
as I can. I have not been playing
golf for very long but I
play at the Delhi Golf
Club so that makes the
competition tougher as
it is one of the toughest
courses. It is quite an
addictive game.
Former International Golf Professional, Amandeep Johl conducted an ‘Introduction to the Basics
of Golf’ clinic for the lady golfers of Noida Golf Course at the Noida Sports Stadium - Golf Range.
Eighteen ladies participated in the clinic. Ladies speak about their experience.
What are your expectations from this
clinic?
KC: My expectation is to just improve my
game. I’m looking to cover every aspect of
my game and taking the correct guidance to
improve it and go further. We all are very
optimistic about this clinic.
KM: My only expectation is to improve my
game.
MS: We should have more golf clinics like
this so that we get to learn more under the
guidance of coaches such as Amandeep.
Under Amandeep’s good guidance my
expectations are quite high.
NA: I just hope to improve my game. That is
why I came here to attend this clinic.
SB: Everybody is here to grade up. It depends
individually how much practice you put in.
Practice makes the woman perfect.
Do you think this clinic will really improve
your golf?
KC: Yes of course it will improve our golf.
The ladies are getting the opportunity of
being trained under Amandeep Johl who is
one of the best in India. So hopefully this
clinic would help us. Even if it improves our
game marginally, we would be very thankful.
KM: Yes, whoever takes it seriously is bound
to improve.
MS: De¿ nitely it will improve. All of us are
so excited.
NA: Yes more and more ladies will come
and try to improve their techniques so it will
de¿ nitely improve ladies gol¿ ng.
SB: Absolutely. Individually when a lady
comes and plays she is not aware how
many other ladies are playing. Today I saw
everyone was so comfortable and trying to do
better. So it will improve ladies gol¿ ng.
