All those ¿ nishing from second to ¿ fth in
the Order of Merit gained a direct entry into
the Final Stage of the 2019 PGTI Qualifying
School.

Delhi’s Pawan Verma emerged as the
2018 PGTI Feeder Tour Order of Merit
champion after claiming ¿ fth place at the
sixth and last event of the season staged at
The Palms Golf Club & Resort, Lucknow.
Verma recorded the highest earnings for
the season which stood at Rs. 2,78,987.
Pawan, who posted four top-10s in the
season including two runner-up ¿ nishes,
earned an exemption for the 2019 PGTI
season (Main Tour).
Verma said, “I was very consistent through
the season and quite often in contention
even though I didn’t win this year. The
number one position is a just reward
for my consistency. The Feeder Tour
experience has once again instilled self-
belief in me. I’m con¿ dent of carrying the
positives from here onto the main tour.”
Incidentally, Verma is the cousin brother
of Honey Baisoya who currently leads the
2019 PGTI Order of Merit (Main Tour).
It was a highly competitive season that
saw ¿ ve winners – Dhruv Sheoran (2
wins), Ashbeer Saini, Arjun Sharma,
Chandarjeet Yadav and Rajesh Kumar
Rawat (all with 1 win each). Four out of
these ¿ ve players, with the sole exception
of Rajesh Kumar Rawat, were ¿ rst time
winners.
Kapurthala’s Ashbeer Saini secured
second place on the Order of Merit with
season’s earnings of Rs. 2,46,624. He
claimed a record ¿ ve top-10s in the season
including one victory.
Gurugram’s Dhruv Sheoran, the only
player to win two titles during the season,
came in third in the money list with
earnings of Rs. 2,43,427.
