Considering Jenni has only been playing for a matter of months it was clear to see that she takes her golf seriously. Here was a player that wants to improve and taking on Will’ s advice she successfully navigated her way around the challenging course.
She is in action alongside the guys from Muller who proved to be great fun throughout the day. Ben Nichols, Alex DeAth and James Guy proved to be the ideal partners for golf ' s latest celebrity newbie. Ben had only been playing for three weeks prior to the British Par 3. It was a great group to be a part of and hopefully, they will keep on playing after their experience at the British Par 3 Championship.
Following her first round at the Cromwell Course, we had a little chat about her new found love for the
game.
" I absolutely love it, I ' m hooked!" Jenni told us.
" I ' ve been lucky enough to play Golfsixes, the celebrity cup at Celtic Manor and lucky enough to play here. So the whole idea is to come back here with a year ' s golf under my belt and to be much better."
There is no doubt that given her enthusiasm for the game, she will return to Nailcote Hall as a stronger player. The love is there, the confidence is something Jenni is working on.
" Confidence is actually key isn ' t it when playing golf?
You realise that the more relaxed you are when you take a shot actually the better it goes. But it ' s hard it be relaxed when your nerves don ' t work."
The confidence will certainly come for Jenni that is for sure. What impressed though was her passion for the game that she is relatively new to. It would be easy to give up. Many do exactly that but Jenni ' s infectious smile around the course showed us all what golf is all about. It ' s about fun and it ' s about trying to get better at a game that likes to kick you down from time to time. That smile shows that Jenni is here for the long haul and we are all glad that she is just as hooked as the rest of us.
