ALBATROSS GOLF RESORT The Albatross Golf Resorts is a new, modern resort opened
in September 2009. The course, clubhouse, training facilities, services, all meet the
highest standards demanded by any golfer. The Albatross course spreads over an area
of about eighty hectares on moderately hilly terrain. The resort can be found near the
village of Vysoky Ujezd and it takes only 20 minutes by car to get to the course from the
centre of Prague. The clubhouse is modern building with reception, cloakrooms, golf
shop, conference rooms, extensive terrace with putting green, golf-club storage room,
garage for golf carts. You will find of course a delicious restaurant and bar in the club-
house. Type: 18 holes; PAR: 72; Landscape: slightly hilly, meadow land
GOLF RESORT KARLŠTEJN The golf course was opened in 1993. The course was desig-
ned by Canadian duo Les Furber and Jim Eremko. The sensitive way they set the golf
course amid beautiful scenery with the majestic Karlštejn, the castle of Czech kings,
forming a romantic backdrop, has created a unique course. The wooded hilly lands-
cape, with limestone outcrops and rich flora and fauna, is an oasis of peace and quiet,
and yet is only a few minutes drive from central Prague. The broken terrain, natural
gorges, two lakes and many sand traps create a very pleasant environment that will sa-
tisfy even the most demanding of players. The architects designed the course as “easy
bogey but difficult birdie”, with the result that players with very different handicaps can
play the course. Type: 18 holes; PAR: 72; Landscape: hilly, meadowland
GOLF & SPA RESORT KONOPIŠTE The Golf Resort Konopište with its two championship
18-hole courses can be found 40 km south of Prague. Golf Resort Konopište was inau-
gurated on July 20, 2002. Its home region is the Manorial Estate of Tvoršovice, whose
history dates back to the 10th century. Golf Konopište a.s. entered into the project in
1997 and built up a resort which can be proud of its two 18-hole master courses. The
courses are situated in a landscape with slight slopes and surrounded by the forest.
A characteristic feature is represented especially by the great, modelled greens. The
beautiful, renovated chateau with a clubroom, reception, pro-shop as well as a resta-
urant is a regular jewel of the resort. Type: 18 holes; PAR: 72; Landscape: slightly hilly,
parkland/meadowland
