Travis Shaddox, Ph.D. develops best-management
practices for the lawn, golf, sport turf and sod
industries. His research focuses on soil fertility
and turfgrass nutrition with consideration given
to reducing costs and environmental risk from
the application of granular and foliar nutrients.
In addition, Dr. Shaddox develops reliable
interpretations of soil and tissue tests for turfgrass.
Dan Strunk, Ph.D. is an assistant professor
at Western Kentucky University in the
Department of Agriculture and Food
Science. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees
from the University of Tennessee and
Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas.
Kyley Dickson, Ph.D. is a research associate
at the University of Tennessee working with
Dr. John Sorochan. He has completed joint
research on fraise mowing with the University
of Kentucky. He is involved in many sports turf
related studies focusing on improving athletic
field performance and safety.
