The Tourism/Resort courses have really made their mark on world golf and these golf courses have received rave reviews from visiting players, golf journalists and golf connoisseurs. Each of the top courses has a uniqueness that really makes them standout. The views on the course and the surrounding landscape make them unique and then you have to play your golf shots! The top courses in this category are: Wairakei Golf Course and Kinloch (just outside of Taupo) Kauri Cliffs (Bay of Islands) Cape Kidnappers (Hawkes Bay) Terrace Downs (just outside of Christchurch) The Hills, Millbrook and Jacks Point (all in the Queenstown region). Member - based courses are established golf courses with long histories and the members will be happy to have you play alongside them. Generally, they are not long courses, playing from the club tees you will have an enjoyable time. The golf courses are all different and you will find some gems to play, with most green fees ranging from NZ$40 - $100. Many are parkland design but you will also find some great coastal links courses or clubs that have wonderful locations like Wanaka, Arrowtown and Queenstown golf clubs.
