What can I say about 2016- but it was a roller-coaster ride with ten days on the road with Gregg Patterson and Norm Spitzig , a truly inspiring time for me professionally , and personally .
Follow that up with nine days with Bill Yates , the guru of Pace of Play , and a few days at the New Zealand GMA Conference , as well numerous golf marketing workshops held in several regional towns throughout Australia .
It was a lot of travel for sure this year but there is no better way to build relationships than in person , and to hear from you what your challenges are . I am so motivated , recharged and ready to hit it hard in the 2017 season with many new initiatives to roll out .
In this issue of Golf Industry Central ’ s e-magazine we have a look at the ever-growing presence of MSL Solutions and their move into the global golf market , as well as their evolution into the Australian market .
In this issue we also hope to start a discussion about Daylight Saving
Furthermore , Bill Yates discusses the various pace of play issues he is seeing internationally , and outlines some things you can do to improve this at your facility .
Of course we wrap it up with some recent news from around the region and a few course development updates occurring through 2016-17 . And as we reported on before , the trend of clubs opting to sell parts of their land to stay financially afloat , seems to continue .
We hope you all have a great holiday season and get refreshed for the fantastic year that is to come in 2017 . Tiger is back playing so should be an exciting year for the industry globally !
As always , drop me a line if you ever need any assistance in the marketing of golf .
