advertisement Fibrebond The first generation ‘standard’ textile bunker liners developed in North America, have arguably been geared towards the typically mild or moderate North American climate vis-à-vis rainfall (i.e. drainage capability) and sunlight stability (i.e. U.V. resistance). Fiber Bond Corporation has recently introduced its own slightly-above-standard SandCatcher bunker liner materials for use in moderate climates. For tropical climates with monsoonal rains and often intense sunlight, ‘standard’ products may not in our opinion get the job done over the long haul. For this reason, Fiber Bond has also introduced its TrapTex line of materials with an improved structure in the fabric to help prevent the loss of geotextile drainage performance in long-term wet, warm conditions. TrapTex is also loaded with U.V. stabilizers to minimize strength degradation from sunlight exposure that inevitably seems to occur, for example when the bunker sand delivery is delayed. Both the SandCatcher and TrapTex product ranges are also available with thin, dense textile backings on the underside for use with poor subgrade soils.
