I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I launched the www.golfindustrycentral.com. au website on 8 July, 2008. It’s a platform that continues to share news and information to our great industry in this part of the world, which started as a little idea 12 years ago. In March this year we were hon- oured to receive the Queensland Golf Industry Supplier of the year (2017) award. THANK YOU. My personal vision has always been simply to make a difference and give back to this great industry that has given me so much, personally and professionally. It was a personal challenge to do something like this and it’s evolved organically over all these years. Some things have worked and others have not, but that has been much of the fun of it all. Our databases continue to grow each year with increased engagement with readers growing as well. We love sharing what’s happening globally and locally and do our part to assist the industry. I started in the golf industry 30 years ago and Golf Industry Central 10 years ago. It’s my life and I live and breathe it every day. With half of my career in the US and the second half here in Australia. I’m very fortunate to have met so many great people who make up this industry. The great people I have met along the way I now consider many of my good friends. A special thanks to my brother Paul Orloff, Andrew Howes and currently Mathilda Andersson for the support given to help grow our little company over the past 10 years. Thanks to my wife Chelsea and kids for supporting me as I chase this dream. There are still many more goals to achieve! I look forward to seeing you all this year at the various national and state body, forum and workshops that occur in the region each year. Bring on the next 10 years!
